Fees and Rebates for Individual Appointments

The cost of a consultation varies according to the type of service, the number of people attending (individual, couple, family) and the duration of the session.

The current Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee for psychological services is $310.00 per hour. However, we offer our fees at a reduced rate. Our fee structure is as follows:-

Standard 50 min Initial Parent Consultation  – $275.00

Subsequent 50 min Child or Teen Consulation – $255.00

Initial 50 minute Couples Appointment – $305.00

$25.00 After hours surcharge  (From 5.00pm Weekdays and all day Saturday)

Fees are paid in full at the end of each session.

Private Health Rebates

You may be able to obtain a rebate through your private health insurance, depending on your level of Extras Cover. Some of the health funds rebate up to 50% of the cost. When contacting your health fund, quote the description “Individual consultation with Family Involvement”.

Medicare Rebates

To determine if your child is eligible for the GP mental health care plan, you will need to make an appointment with your doctor or Paediatrician. If your child is eligible you may be able to claim rebates for individual and group sessions. Please make an appointment with your doctor. If you have exceeded the Safety Net Threshold you may receive up to 90% of the cost. Note: The Medicare rebate for group sessions is approximately $25.00. Check with Medicare for more details.
