Private Health Rebates
You may be able to obtain a rebate through your private health insurance, depending on your level of Extras Cover. Some of the health funds rebate up to 50% of the cost. When contacting your health fund, quote the description “Individual consultation with Family Involvement”.
Medicare Rebates
To determine if your child is eligible for the GP mental health care plan, you will need to make an appointment with your doctor.
If your child is eligible, you may be able to claim rebates for individual and group sessions. If you have exceeded the Safety Net Threshold you may receive up to 90% of the cost. Please note that Medicare do not rebate for missed sessions or parent only sessions.
